After earning a Master’s degree in audiovisual and multimedia communication, Mélanie joined a production company as a production manager, where she produced advertising spots. At the same time, she began writing.
Her first short film, Les Parapluies Migrateurs, starring Diana Fontana, Rufus, and Dominique Pinon, won an award at the Festival Premiers Plans d'Angers. The script was read on France Culture, in association with France televisions, and supported by the regional found of Alsace and the CNC.
Mélanie then developed a children’s series in collaboration with Ibrahim Maalouf and began work on the script for her first feature film.
In 2016, her second short film, Noyade interdite, was backed by the regional found Alsace and the CNC, in association with France televisions, and screened at many festivals in France and abroad, with over fifty selections including the César shortlist.
In 2022, Binaud & Claude was co-produced by À Travers Le Miroir and White Boat Pictures, starring Gilles Vandeweerd and Bérangère Mc Neese. The film was in association with France televisions and RTBF and enjoyed strong success on the festival circuit.
